Creche & Occasional Care

Aqualink CrecheAqualink-Creche-1

Juggling children with your leisure time or fitness routine can be a challenge. It's easy to relax when your children (from six weeks up to primary school age) are in the care of the registered crèche at Aqualink Nunawading and Aqualink Box Hill.

Creche is open Monday to Friday for the following sessions:

Session 1: 9am-10.25am
Session 2: 10.30am-11.55am
Session 3: 12pm-1pm

You can even book in for double sessions. If you feel like you're always rushing or if you are feeling motivated to do a group fitness class plus a work out in the gym then book in for two crèche sessions, complete your workout and then you may still have some time to enjoy a coffee before picking up the kids again.

Qualified staff will care for your child in a secure and caring environment while you exercise or relax using other facilities at the centre. The 30-place crèches offer short-term child minding for babies through to school-age children.

The crèche facility at Aqualink Nunawading and Aqualink Box Hill both have indoor and outdoor play areas providing an interactive an fun experience for your child.

Aqualink Occasional Care

Aqualink Box Hill and Aqualink Nunawading offer occasional care for both members and non-members. Occasional care gives you the opportunity to leave the centre for up to four hours and enjoy some 'me' time or tick off all the items on your to-do list.

Booking procedures remain the same as creche - members can book one week in advance and non-members can ring after 6pm the night before.

Session times for occasional care are the same as those for creche.

We accept bookings for one, two or three consecutive sessions with a maximum of 15 hours per week, per child.

The health and safety of the children using the crèche is of primary concern to all educators and parents.

The centre will not permit entry of a child into the crèche if he/she has any of the following conditions:

  • A fever above 38 degrees
  • Been prescribed antibiotics for an acute illness on the day of the session.  Your child should be kept at home for at least 24 hours
  • Diarrhoea or gastro enteritis
  • Vomiting.  Your child should be kept home for at least 24 hours once symptoms cease
  • Contagious conjunctivitis: Redness of the eyes, yellow discharge and watering
  • Hand, foot and mouth disease:  a highly contagious infection usually characterised by small lesions on the side of the tongue, around the mouth and neck region.

If your child does have an infectious disease, parents are asked to notify the crèche educators. Children will be excluded if they are suffering from a contagious disease/condition as listed in the Infection Disease Exclusion Table.
