Running is one of the most accessible and rewarding forms of exercise and at the Aqualink Run Club, it’s designed for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned runner chasing a new personal best or just getting started on your fitness journey, our sessions are tailored to suit you.

One of the key features of the Aqualink Run Club is that all exercises are based on time, not distance. This means you simply do what you can within the allocated times.

Want to push yourself? Go for it. Need to take a break or walk for a bit? That’s completely fine too. If you get puffed, take a breather and jump back in when you’re ready.

The sessions are built to challenge you at your level. No pressure, no judgment and a supportive community who want the best for each other.

All sessions are completed on the grass ovals near the Aqualink facilities. Training on grass reduces impact on the joints compared to hard surfaces, helping lower the risk of injury and making sessions more comfortable. This especially helps those new to running or returning after time off. The oval format also removes the stress of running against others. Because everything is time-based, everyone works at their own pace while still feeling part of the supportive group.

Every week is different to keep your training fresh and engaging. Sessions may include interval training, fartlek sessions, technical running drills, or fitness testing. This variety improves endurance, speed, strength, coordination, and overall cardiovascular fitness while keeping things fun and motivating.

Running provides powerful physical and mental benefits. It strengthens your heart and lungs, builds muscular endurance, supports healthy weight management, and boosts energy levels. Mentally, running can reduce stress, improve mood, enhance focus, and build resilience. There’s a real sense of achievement in progressing toward a goal, whether that’s completing your first continuous run, improving your Parkrun PB or preparing for your next marathon.

At Aqualink Run Club, you’re never doing it alone. We’re a strong and supportive community focused on helping each other enjoy the process and get the most out of every session.
