Celebrating 25 years of jiu jitsu training at Aqualink Box Hill in 2024!

Our three black-belt instructors (Phillip Mathers, Daniel Turner & Chris Adams) have over 50 years of combined coaching experience, all hold valid Working with Children cards (Volunteer), and each holds appropriate accreditation by the Australian Jujitsu Federation (AJF).

Cost of Training

Your first jiu jitsu class is free (see below)! After that each session costs: $17.50 for Little Legends; and $20 for Bushi/Samurai. We're a community club and our not-for-profit association provides concession pricing, which is available for multiple members from the same family.

Gradings

To be eligible for belt progression, an annual membership is payable each year that varies according to age group and reduces for registration part way through the year. Ideally, this is payable within four weeks of a student commencing. Membership provides access to wholesale price uniforms and covers all grading fees, which includes new belts. Promotion is by invitation by the black-belt instructors and on a merit basis—several are held throughout the year at the Aqualink dojo—your training is individualised and progression comes through consistent attendance.

Free Trial Class

If you would like to consider enrolling your child and/or yourself, please contact us (see below) to come along to a free introductory class that simply requires you to complete a registration form—we have uniforms you can borrow and there's no ongoing obligation to train.

First-time students should wear long pants and a T-shirt, as jackets and white belts will be loaned to beginners without any prior training. Please contact us for more information about the training at our Australian Jujitsu Federation (AJF) registered dojo.
