Structural Accessibility Features

  • Ramp access to all pools at Box Hill
  • Access changerooms (MLAK at AQBH)

  • Way finding signage throughout centres (with braille)
  • Guide/therapy dog tethering stations (in all Group Fitness studios and gyms) 
  • Wide halls and floor areas to allow clear transit paths

Operational Accessibility Features
  • Part of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program - Sunflower lanyards and badges are available at reception at each centre. More about Aqualink's involvement in the the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program detailed below.
  • Communication Boards ( PDF 866.44KB) are available at all service areas throughout Aqualink to assist with clear communication between staff and visitors. (These visual aids can help support communication for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, non-English speakers, or anyone who prefers visual communication.)
  • Water wheelchairs available with weight capacity of 120kg
  • Guide and service dogs are welcome
  • Lap lane availability to show quieter times 
  • Accessible gym equipment eg: arm cycle and adjustable cable machines 
  • Dumbbells at an accessible height 
  • Allfit Program, concessional prices and carers/companion card holder discounts.
